Morning tour:
Your tour starts at 9:00 am to visit one of the biggest flooded communities in Siem Reap called Kompong Khleang and floating villages. This place is located on the northern bank of Tonle Sap lake, around 55 km east of Siem Reap town. On the way to explore that community, we ‘ll see the local people are selling Bamboo rice cakes along the national road 6. Taking the boat ride through the villages we ‘ll see fishermen are going fishing in the rainy season. But the dry season, we’ll also see just how local houses tower 10 meters above the ground, or and we can walk around seeing some farmers are growing vegetables and cash crops there. After that, break for lunch.
Afternoon Tour:
Our next stop is Preah Ko and Bakong temples constructed by rulers of the Khmer empire, dedicated to Hinduism. It served as the city temple of the king in the ancient second city of Hariharalaya, located in an area which today is called Rolous.
