Royal Palace
Opposite to Chakto Mukh River, there is an impressive Royal Palace of the Kingdom of Cambodia. In the present day, the Royal Palace is open for tourists. There is a silver pagoda that consists of 500 silver blocks and a 90kg golden Buddha with 9,584 diamonds.

National Museum
Cambodia National Museum was built from 1917 to 1920 and designed in a graceful-traditional Khmer house. It is the collection of overall Khmer sculptures that has taken from some ancient temples. There are displays of pre-Angkorian pottery and bronzes from the Angkorian period.

Wat Phnom
Wat Phnom is the heart of the capital because it is the birthplace of Phnom Penh. It is a 27m hill and the only hill in the town. The name Phnom Penh or “Hill of Penh” is dedicated to Yen Penh.

Toul Sleng Genocide Museum
It is a former high school which was used as Security Prison 21 (S-21) by Khmer Rouge leadership. It became a huge centre for detention and torture of the Khmer people. Now, S-21 is a museum for war crimes and a memorial site for Cambodians.

Choeung Ek Killing Field
Choeung Ek was a former fruit farm and a grave of Khmer Rouge victims-killed from 1975 – 1979. About 17,000 men, women, children and infants were transported from S-21 to Choeung Ek. A mass grave of 8,895 bodies was found here.

Central Market
Central Market was built during French Colonization in 1937. It was designed as a big dome in the shape of a cross that serves countless stalls of goods. Some people claim that it is among the top 10 biggest domes in the world.
