Battambang Attractions​

Battambang is Cambodia’s second largest city and the town has become a very popular destination for tourists. It’s not as busy as Phnom Penh, it doesn’t have the beaches of Koh Rong, and there aren’t the thousands of visitors who visit Angkor Wat. What you get is sleepy city with stunning architecture and a break from the large crowds of tourists.

Prek Toal Battambang

Prek Toal Battambang

Prek Toal is a stunning bird sanctuary, located in the northwest tip of the Tonle Sap Lake. It has three biospheres that cover 31,282 hectares. There are some important number of endangered bird species such as the huge lesser and the greater adjutant storks.

Phnom Banan

Phnom Banan is a hill located 22 kilometres south of Battambang city. There is a 358-stone step climb up to an Angkorian temple called “Prasat Banan”. From the top of the temple, tourists can enjoy the beautiful view of the Sangke River, rice fields, and small villages.
Phnom Sampeau

Phnom Sampeau or Ship Mountain is a small mountain located 12km southwest of Battambang. A 700-stone step climb up to a Buddhist Pagoda, and on the top the views of rice fields, palm trees and villages are so beautiful. There are also a few sacred caves.

Wat Ek Phnom

Wat Ek Phnom is a small 11th-century temple hiding behind a beautiful Buddhist pagoda, and a huge sitting-Buddha statue. The temple was built on a small hill and there are still some sitting Buddha images higher up the walls.

Pich Chenda Waterfall

Pich Chenda is located in Rattanakmundul district. It is the best natural-tourist attractions of in Battambang. Most tourists visit in a tour package that includes Sek Sak and Dang Tung. Tourists will enjoy the gorgeous waterfall and traditional villages.
